ADBE is looking interesting, however in a big selloff it would follow also.

The futures are showing some more movement to the upside, I think the market moves a bit higher , and then we'll see some profit taking, lets hope it's light so we can consolidate a bit. Resistance on the DIA is about @ 104.00 SPY is 110.00

Possible strategy for today

Playing a weak open for a bounce appears to be a possible daytrade strategy today. Take profits quickly.

The market is a bit jumpy here today, it's just trying to remind us that we should keep our timeframes short.


It's earnings season check for releases before jumping into a good looking trade setup.

Late day rally, looks like it helped some individual stock charts look better the DIA and SPY would need a move higher with solid volume to confirm a move higher.

Keep loses small

Sell now and wait for the market to turn or scale in very very slowly. Lots of charts are starting to roll over. The market may have some more downside.

MY Bad

Should have waited for the release of the nat gas #'s, could of got a better entry. MY BAD.


Should of waited for the Dip buyers to do their thing on Tue's entry on AAPL.

Apple is still holding it's trendline, if it moves below Tuesday's low look for more downside.

Energy is under some pressure here at the open, and the market is acting poorly.

I will hold on to CHK a bit longer if it starts moving much lower I may unload it and wait for market conditions to improve.

Waiting to see the reaction to earnings, AA this morning and INTC tomorrow should tell us more.

General Outlook

There should be a bit left in this move, however we cannot forget the fact that we are in a downtrending channel. Lower lows and lower highs confirm this. Keep trading time frames shorter and let the market prove itself. "IF" this market has legs there will be plenty of time to get bullish exposure.

Well an interesting play that may have some upside would be CEDC, play it with a stop around 21.40.

Was stopped out on the bounce, for just pennies. Yes the $ 4.00 was available on the trade however I set stops.

Started a small position @ 41.81

If DNDN drops a bit below it's 200 ema play it for a bounce. Around 32.90 but wait for it to start it's bounce.

Short @ 117.25 .........looking for a 2 to 4 dollar trade.


Added more @ 119.68. Looks like shorting one of the most bullish stocks in the market may be a bad idea. Will be holding this one at least overnight.

Fast Changes at Stock Market High

The market is making the trading as tough as possible with quick turns, gaps, fades. Keep your time frames short take profits when there on your screen. There is too much global news that can send the market reeling. Scale in on pullbacks if your looking for longer term positions.

The number of stocks moving higher will greatly diminish here until we have some consolidation.

Ok I'll go out on a limb here and say it appears we will now rally to about 920 on the S&P.

AG stocks

POT and MOS and the other ag stocks are setting up for a move, keep your eye on them and trade with the direction. They should start to move next week.

I still believe CY has some upside in it however getting stopped out for a dime loss is prudent on a $ 8.00 stock that's already up a over a dollar in just a few days.

CY is setting up for a move higher but I wouldn't allow much downside for the trade, a stop at $ 8.10, medium risk trade.

Nice little blast higher here today, remember resistance is around Dow 8600, don't trade without a clear exit strategy, take profits where you get them. Everything is moving, an upgrade of Apple (AAPL) looks to be the safest way to play on the long side, but there are trading ideas everywhere.

8600 Dow

Ok we've reached a key level on the Dow at 8600 let's see how this plays out a move higher would be miraculous. We most likely will see some profit taking around here.

Up and running

Went ahead and put 4gig of new memory in and this computer is like new again. Isa got to leave here for a while but over the next few days PBR may make a small move higher.

OFF

My main computer has been down and will remain down until it's fixed. So I have no access to my best charting programs. It's an on / off problem.

Public storage

If your going to play PSA on the long side keep a stop about a $ 1.00 below the 50 day ema.


Let me add that I have no idea which way this will trade going forward but as people continue to get evicted they may try to save some of their property at least temporarily by storing it at a storage facility, but the flip side is some others may be no longer able to pay their storage bills and let their property go to auction, Tough Call here.

It's hard to take any positions this morning, let this selloff play out a bit and see where we are later today, look for stronger chart patterns.

General observations

Ok the best of the trading looks to be over here after the first thirty minutes. I'll be keeping an eye on it, maybe just maybe fading some of the excitment may work for some daytrades. If I see anything interesting I'll post again.

PCR continues to move higher current stop price would be @ 19.00.

Yeah yeah yeah I'm gettin bitch slapped on my SQNM, however I've decided to hold this position until more news is released it could be fraud or it could be a situation that just needs more time and testing to resolve. The best strategy for positions in SQNM would be to sell now.

Ok I'd be waiting until after the stress test results and labor numbers on Friday before initiating any positions. Daytrades only until Monday at the earliest.

STZ

I'm watching STZ very closely it appears to want to move higher very soon.

UNG

The UNG looks good right here time to get long. It's thick with bears so don't let this pull back too much on you set a stop around 13.80.

SQNM

SQNM at $5.90 here in after-hours looks like a very speculative purchase I'm considering.


OK I'm in @ $ 4.80, geez this is a gamble.

The market is setting up

This market is causing pain on both sides right now. This leads me to believe we will see a good size move here very soon. Bullish or Bearish does it really matter if your a trader? It also is obviously a stock pickers market, look for strong setup patterns then wait for the move to start and set your stops. Good Luck.

This is not a market to let even your smallest gains go away. It looks like up moves have no continuation except for Solar and Oil. UNG selling right down to my stop, another one gets away. One thing that gives me concern is when the parade of pundits on the financial networks start saying in interviews that it's too late to sell positions as the worst of the correction is over. Well that may be, but a lot of stocks will continue lower.
